The Shoals Project
Patrick Cromwell
Patrick Cromwell is a Detroit-born, Alabama-based photographer whose career reflects both his dedication to the craft and his unwavering belief in its power to reveal truth.
For decades he has documented the people of The Bahamas while also helping shape its digital landscape through his entrepreneurial work.

Over the span of his 40-year commercial, editorial, and advertising career, Duke has photographed for clients across the United States, Canada, and Latin America. His assignments have covered automobiles, architecture, portraits, products, food, and fashion.
His photographs have earned numerous awards and have appeared in magazines, corporate annual reports, and international advertising campaigns. His work has also been shown in galleries in both The Bahamas and the United States.

Duke’s portrait work for the Bahamian Project produced the Bahamian Collection, a fine art exhibition at the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas as part of the official celebrations for the nation’s 40th Anniversary of Independence.

Now a resident of The Shoals, Patrick lives in Florence, AL with his wife, Lisa — also an artist — along with their four cats.
